A Little Bit About Us

I’m Lori Nelson and I want to know what goes into my skincare. After all, up to 60% ends up going IN to my bloodstream! I am a typical consumer interested in using products that help me look the best I can. Once I turned 40 (too long ago!), I wanted the best products possible, but all of my research made me realize what we think is the best may not be.  There’s a lot of companies that need to compete and they will do it any way they can!  

So I teamed up with my friend and fellow mom, Yvonne Gailey, to start Pure Skin. We wanted to offer a retail store with professional level skincare and cosmetics that are good for your skin but don’t break the bank. There needed to be an option from the drug stores and department stores, one store with just the good stuff! Along the way, we realized we needed to support our fellow small businesses who don’t get a fair shake against the corporate giants out there.  And we decided it was good to support local and regional businesses to get the freshest products to you and keep our carbon footprint small. So you won’t find any of those overseas lines in our store! Let’s support smaller regional business first! They have some amazing products!
